  • Greater Lowell Technical High School Automotive Technology Shop Repair Policy

    Any Vehicle being serviced in the Automotive Shop Must: 

    • Be within 15 years old (Currently 2010 model year)
    • Be registered and within the school district (Lowell, Dracut, Tyngsboro, or Dunstable)
    • Be Insured and have a valid Massachusetts State Inspection sticker.


    I further understand the following:

    • All appointment requests will be viewed, considered and scheduled into the shop based on the curriculum needs of the instructors at that time in our student’s learning process. The instructors have the right to reject any vehicle and/or any job that does not fall under the DESE Frameworks or is viable for our student' education.
    • All parts and/or materials required must be purchased by Greater Lowell Technical High School.
    • Charges include specific services performed, parts cost , tax and Hazardous/Environment  waste fee.
    • In order for GLTHS to have a viable automotive program there will be a Surcharge amount based upon 20% of the necessary parts costs associated with the automotive repairs.  
    • Vehicles MUST be left for as long as it takes to perform the necessary diagnostic procedures and repairs.
    • Any vehicle required to be towed into the school must have prior approval from the instructor and cluster chair Mr. LeMay.
    • Before dropping a vehicle off in the automotive repair area, all visitors must go to the security area and obtain a visitor's badge.
    • The customer must agree to and sign our waiver agreement.

    Payment is due upon pick up of the vehicle by 3:00PM. We accept most major credit cards, Apple Pay and money orders as payments. (No Cash or Checks)
